Gilad Shalit protest watch tent in Jerusalem on the morning of the 1462nd day of captivity

Parents and thousands of supporters will embark this morning on a protest march for the release of abducted IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. ‘The March of His Life’ will leave the Shalit home in Mitzpe Hila in the Galilee, take twelve days, 250 kilometers and end at the protest watch tent in Jerusalem opposite the residence of the Prime Minister (depicted).

Organizers are hoping for thousands to join along the way to pressure the government to do everything possible for the release of Gilad after four full years in Hammas captivity.

Gilad Shalit (born 28 August 1986) is an Israeli soldier abducted by Palestinian militants in a cross border raid near the Gaza Strip on 25 June 2006 and is being held hostage by Hammas ever since.
